Mexican Mocha with Chili and Cinnamon

About This Drink:

Inspired by Mexican hot chocolate, this spicy mocha adds a kick of chili and warmth from cinnamon for a bold, adventurous drink.

Ingredients:

  • 1 shots Espresso
  • 1/2 tsp Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 cups Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (Adjust to tatse)
  • Pinch of cocoa powder (garnish)

Instructions:

1. Brew the espresso
2. In a saucepan, mix cocoa, cinnamon, chili powder, and brown sugar with a splash of milk to form a paste.
3. Add the remaining milk and vanilla, heating over medium until hot, stirring to combine.
4. Froth the milk lightly.
5. Pour the espresso into a mug, add the spiced milk mixture, and top with a dollop of whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder.
